I'm raising funds as I'm inspired by the work of my local air ambulance.

Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire/Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day.

The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.

Before I go, I would like to thank my husband, for all his support and encouragement over the last year. Personal trainer, main driver, chief navigator and life coach...I couldn't have got this far without you!

Yorkshire 3 Peaks

After a short pause to rest an minor injury I am back on schedule for training! Just returned from the Yorkshire Dales and so pleased to have completed the 3 Peaks in the wind, rain and sunshine.  I am now feeling prepared for my trek.

My training has just gone up a notch!
 I climbed up Scafell Pike on Tues 15th April then up Mount Helvellyn on Thursday 17th. Although exhausted and cold at the top the views were a massive treat! Well worth it. 
I imagine its a small taste of the BIG adventure ahead!.

Fundraising for The Air Ambulance Service

Many years ago, I witnessed a rescue whilst hiking and was amazed by this service.  But what I did not know was that the air ambulance service relies on charitable donations and is not part of the NHS.
Having been in a serious car accident  (luckily I did not need to be  rescued) and seeing several  road collisions, over the years, it has always been in the back of my mind,  that anyone of us could be in a situation where we need to the help of this emergency service.  
I now work as a retail manager in one of the shops and am so inspired when I hear customers telling me how their loved ones are still with us due to the air ambulance service!
It is for these reasons that I want to fundraise towards saving more lives- Please support me with this most worthy cause!
