On 23rd May 2026 it will be the 10th anniversary of the most awful day our family went through. Coming home from Sheffield and in a remote location, Dave was involved in a terrible road accident which resulted in life threatening and life changing injuries. Were it not for the rapid response from an off duty air ambulance crew member he would have lost his life at the side of the road. Further life saving treatment on the roadside from the air ambulance and their swift delivery to the major trauma centre in Stoke meant he survived and made a remarkable recovery. This will be our second big fundraising effort for the Derbyshire Air Ambulance - we thought it fitting to celebrate the 10th anniversary with all our family in a fun event in the summer.
