Snowdon for Sunrise Challenge 2026

Eligibility

I confirm that I will be aged 14 or over on the day of the event.

If I am under 18, I understand I must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

I confirm that I am in suitable physical condition to complete a moderately strenuous hike.

Registration

I understand that my registration is only confirmed once I have submitted the completed form.

I acknowledge that places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

I accept that The Air Ambulance Service reserves the right to close registration early or decline entries.

Fundraising

Fundraising Commitment

I agree to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship for The Air Ambulance Service.

I will ensure all funds are submitted by the deadline communicated in the event materials.

Minimum Sponsorship

I understand that, in order to take part in the event, I must have raised the minimum sponsorship amount I agreed to when registering.

Fundraising Conduct

I will make every effort to raise money for The Air Ambulance Service and will clearly communicate to supporters that all funds raised will be treated as donations to support its work.

I understand that if I withdraw from the event, and my sponsors donated on the condition that I participate, The Air Ambulance Service must offer them a refund in line with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.

I will explain the situation to my sponsors and, if any request a refund, I will ask them to contact The Air Ambulance Service directly.

I understand that The Air Ambulance Service may ask me to contribute to any financial losses incurred as a result of my withdrawal.

Safe and Respectful Fundraising

I will not endanger or harm myself, supporters, or the public while fundraising.

I will follow any fundraising guidelines provided by The Air Ambulance Service.

I will respect the privacy of others and will not fundraise in a way that could be considered persistent or aggressive.

I understand that my actions reflect on The Air Ambulance Service and I will not do anything to bring the charity into disrepute.

Use of TAAS Branding

I will ensure that The Air Ambulance Service’s name and registered charity number (1098874) are displayed wherever possible during my fundraising.

I will only use branded materials provided to me for the specific fundraising activity I have registered for.

I will not use the official logo or branding without prior written permission.

I will seek approval before using the “in aid of” logo or creating any marketing materials.

Legal and Licensing Requirements

I will not collect donations door-to-door or in public places without a valid licence from the local authority or police.

I will not collect on private property (e.g. shops, pubs) without the owner’s permission.

I will not hold a raffle, lottery, or prize draw unless it qualifies as an ‘incidental lottery’ under UK law.

I will not sell alcohol at any event without the appropriate licence.

I will not sell goods or services using The Air Ambulance Service’s name or logo without prior agreement.

I will not claim that my business (or any other business) is donating to The Air Ambulance Service without a signed agreement in place.

Event Participation

Health and Safety

I will follow all instructions given by event staff and mountain guides.

I understand that a full safety briefing will be provided before the trek.

I accept that The Air Ambulance Service may refuse my participation if I am deemed unfit or unprepared.

I acknowledge that the event is weather-dependent and may be postponed or cancelled. I understand that The Air Ambulance Service is not able to provide compensation for any expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.

Equipment and Clothing

I will wear appropriate footwear (e.g. hiking boots) and bring suitable clothing for cold, wet, and windy conditions.

I understand that a head torch is required and that loan units may be available but are not guaranteed.

I will review and follow the kit list provided in advance.

I acknowledge that, due to insurance requirements, I will not be permitted to take part without all items on the kit list.

Accessibility and Additional Support

If I have any accessibility needs or require additional support to participate safely, I will notify The Air Ambulance Service at the time of registration so appropriate arrangements can be considered.

Transport and Accommodation

I understand that travel to and from the event, as well as any accommodation, is my own responsibility and is not provided by The Air Ambulance Service.

Emergency Contact

I agree to provide emergency contact details during registration and understand that these may be used in case of an incident during the event.

Alcohol and Substance Use

I understand that alcohol or recreational drug use is strictly prohibited before and during the event. Anyone found under the influence may be removed from the challenge for safety reasons.

Event Changes

I accept that The Air Ambulance Service reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule, route, or logistics if necessary for safety or operational reasons.

Event Cancellation

If the event is cancelled and I am unable to take part in a rescheduled or alternative event, my donors may be entitled to request a refund.

In such cases, donors must contact The Air Ambulance Service directly in writing to request a refund.

General Terms

Liability

I understand that I take part in this event at my own risk.

I accept that The Air Ambulance Service and its partners are not liable for injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event or my fundraising activities, except where caused by negligence.

I understand that personal insurance is recommended.

Photography and Media

I understand that photographs and/or video footage may be taken during the event.

I give permission for The Air Ambulance Service and the event organiser to use these for promotional purposes unless I notify them otherwise in advance.

Email Communications

I understand that I will receive emails from The Air Ambulance Service as part of the operational requirements for this event, including important updates, fundraising support, and logistical information.

If I choose to unsubscribe from these emails, I acknowledge that I may miss essential communications that could affect my ability to participate in the event.

Data Protection

I understand that my personal data will be processed in accordance with The Air Ambulance Service’s Privacy Policy and shared only where necessary for event delivery.

Changes to Terms

I acknowledge that The Air Ambulance Service may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will be available on their website.

I agree that these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
