I'm taking on a Skydive and I am scared of heights

The National Children’s Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. With our ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise travel times and the risk for little patients.

The charity receive no government funding for its daily missions. Your support keeps them flying, thank you.

Facing My Fears for a Life-Saving Cause

Some causes stay with you forever. For me, this is one of them.
Nineteen years ago, I gave birth to my daughter at just 29 weeks. It was a time filled with fear, hope, and uncertainty. The Children’s Air Ambulance was there if we needed them—a lifeline in the most critical moments.
Tragically, my daughter passed away before we ever got the chance to use their service. But knowing they were there… ready to help… is something I’ve never forgotten.
Today, I’m doing something completely out of my comfort zone to give back.
The Challenge
I’m taking on a skydive.
And yes—this is a big deal for me. I hate flying. I’m absolutely terrified of heights. The idea of jumping out of a plane? Honestly, it scares me more than I can put into words.
But some things matter more than fear.
Why I’m Doing This
The Children’s Air Ambulance provides a vital, life-saving service—transporting critically ill babies and children across the UK so they can get the urgent care they need.
Every second counts in those situations. Every flight can mean the difference between life and loss.
Even though my daughter never got to use this service, I know how important it is for families going through the unimaginable.
