Climbing for a Cause: Sunrise on Snowdon 🌅

On the 7th of June, I’ll be taking on one of the most meaningful challenges I’ve ever set myself! Hiking up mount Snowdon in time for sunrise.

But this isn’t just about reaching the summit. It’s about purpose, perspective, and giving something back.

I’m doing this in support of the National Children’s Air Ambulance, an incredible charity that truly saves lives 🫶🏻

The National Children’s Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. With the ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, they can minimise travel times and the risk for little patients.

The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions. Your support keeps them flying, and every donation genuinely makes a difference.

Why This Matters to Me

This challenge is deeply personal. Last year, I found myself in a really difficult place mentally. It was a time that tested me in ways I never expected. During that period, I set myself a goal! To climb Snowdon! At the time, it felt distant, almost impossible. But it became something to hold onto!

Now, being in such a positive and strong place, I knew I didn’t just want to do this for myself. I wanted it to mean more!

So I thought… why not turn this into something bigger? Why not use this challenge to support an amazing cause that helps children and families in their most critical moments?

The Moment It Became Real

I can’t even fully put into words the emotions I felt when I finally booked it!

It was a mix of excitement, nerves, pride and honestly, a bit of disbelief. It felt like a full-circle moment. Proof of how far I’ve come, not just physically, but mentally too!

The Challenge Ahead

Snowdon is no small climb, especially starting in the dark and aiming to reach the summit for sunrise. It’s going to be tough, physically and mentally, but that’s part of why it matters so much.

Every step will be a reminder of the journey I’ve been on, and every step will also be for the children who rely on the National Children’s Air Ambulance.

How You Can Help?

If you’re able to support, whether that’s through a donation or simply sharing this post, it would mean the world, not just to me, but to the families who depend on this incredible service!

Your support helps keep them flying and helps save lives.

Final Thoughts 🩷

This climb represents more than just reaching a summit. It’s about growth, resilience, and turning something difficult into something meaningful.
