Help me to save more lives
I'm raising funds as my family have directly benefited from the amazing work of the Children's Air Ambulance.
In 2023 my granddaughter was born 9 weeks early whilst her Mum and Dad were on holiday in Brighton. The National Children's Air Ambulance agreed to transfer our daughter and granddaughter back home to Wakefield, where they could be supported by the specialist NICU team at Pinderfields Hospital, and be close to family and friends. The team understood how precious their cargo was and ensured that the critical care required continued on the journey. We were all so grateful to have them home, we could never thank them enough. So in the month my granddaughter turns 3 and the year I turn 50, with the support of my husband, I will complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks, which for those of you who know me well will know this is no mean feat. I will be accepting any kind donations on behalf of this amazing charity, I know you will give what you can.
The National Children's Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. With our ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise travel times and the risk for little patients.
The charity receive no government funding for its daily missions. Your support keeps them flying, thank you.

Sunday 30th AugThree Goals, One Incredible Journey ❤️
And just like that… my fundraising challenge has come to an end.
I’m incredibly proud, and more than a little emotional, to say that I have raised over £2,000 for The National Children’s Air Ambulance.
This was never just a fundraising challenge for me. This charity is part of our family’s story.
Our daughter and our granddaughter have both needed the National Children’s Air Ambulance, and we will be forever grateful for the service they provide. At some of the most frightening and uncertain moments a family can face, they are there, bringing specialist care, expertise and hope when it is needed most.
There simply aren’t enough words to express what that means to us.
To every person who works for this incredible charity, from the crews who fly, to those behind the scenes who make it all possible, thank you. You make an extraordinary difference to families like ours, and we will never forget it.
This journey has also reminded me that you don’t do something like this alone.
To everyone closest to me who has supported me, encouraged me, listened to me and kept me going, thank you.
Ed, you deserve a special mention. You haven’t just stood by my side throughout this journey; you have taken every step alongside me. Literally. Through the good days, the difficult days and everything in between, you were there. I am so grateful I didn’t have to do this alone.
And Emily, you have championed me from the very start. Your belief in me and your encouragement have meant more than I can put into words. But there is something else I want you to know. Your example of tenacity, resilience and strength has been something I have drawn upon when things became really tough. When I was tired, when I doubted myself or when I wondered whether I could take another step, I thought about the strength you have shown, and it reminded me to keep going.
In many ways, you were with me on those difficult steps too — even when you weren’t physically there.
And then there is everyone who sponsored me.
Every single donation helped. Every message, every word of encouragement and every bit of support gave me another reason to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Because of you, I have smashed three goals.
Although, now I’m wondering whether I should have set a fourth…! 😂
Along the way, I have learnt so much about myself. I’ve learnt that I can push myself further than I thought I could. I’ve learnt that there are days when you don’t feel like carrying on, but you do anyway. And I’ve learnt that sometimes the biggest achievements come from simply refusing to give up.
But more than anything, I have learnt just how generous and kind people can be.
To everyone who donated, encouraged me, walked with me, checked in on me or simply believed I could do it — thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You have helped me turn something personal into something that can hopefully make a difference to other families.
And that means everything.
So I finish this journey with tired legs, a very full heart and an enormous amount of gratitude.
Over £2,000 raised.
Three goals smashed.
A journey I’ll never forget.
And for our family, one very special charity that we will be forever grateful for.
Thank you. Truly.
We only went and did it!!
Tuesday 4th Aug So here we have it…. The Three Yorkshire Peaks over 2 days… feeling a little sore but so proud, feels like a dream now. I am so grateful for all of the support we have received, to our family and friends who greeted us at the end, to my daughter and granddaughter, where it all started, and most of all to my husband Ed, I couldn’t and wouldn’t have done it without him, he was my rock. It is not too late to donate, I will put the link in the comments below. Thank you National Children's Air Ambulance for all you have done for our family. We will always hold you close to our hearts 💚 Share

I just feel so grateful for all the people who have supported me throughout this event, which started with our Granddaughter. Our family will be forever grateful for the National Children’s Air Ambulance.. However I couldn’t have done it without those closest to me and in particular Ed who has been constantly by my side.. So thanks again. I will always feel truly grateful to all of you. Xx
