Challenge – Terms and Conditions 2026
In support of The Air Ambulance Service
General Participation
- I understand that this event is organised by a third-party provider, not by The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS).
- I accept responsibility for reading and complying with any terms and conditions issued by the event organiser.
- I understand that TAAS may share my registration details with the event organiser for the purpose of event delivery and administration.
- I confirm that I am medically and physically fit, aged 18 or over, and that I take part in this event at my own risk.
- I acknowledge that TAAS will not be held responsible for any injury, illness, or loss sustained during training or participation.
Fundraising Commitment
- I commit to raising a minimum of £300 in sponsorship for TAAS
- I understand the following fundraising milestones:
- £30 (10%) to be raised within 30 days of signing up.
- £150 (50%) to be raised by 6th May 2026.
- The remaining balance to be raised by the day of the event.
- I understand that failure to meet these targets may result in my place being withdrawn.
- I will use my official fundraising page and ensure that any offline donations are passed to TAAS within four weeks of the event.
- I acknowledge that Gift Aid cannot be counted towards my fundraising target due to processing times.
Participant Requirements
- I confirm that I am 18 years or older on the day of the event.
- I understand that the maximum weight limit is 21 stone / 136kg.
- I acknowledge that the event is not suitable during pregnancy.
- I will not consume alcohol prior to participation.
- I will arrive at least 20 minutes before my scheduled abseil time.
- I confirm that I am able to abseil unaided and understand that no medical advice will be provided by TAAS or the event organiser. If I have any concerns about my fitness, I will consult my GP.
Event Logistics
- I understand that the event may be moved indoors in the case of bad weather.
- I acknowledge that TAAS has paid a deposit and balance to secure the venue and that my participation helps cover these costs through fundraising.
Cancellations & Deferrals
- If I am unable to take part, I will notify both TAAS and the event organiser as soon as possible.
- I understand that deferrals are at the discretion of the event organiser and subject to their terms.
- If I defer, I will inform TAAS so that my fundraising can be carried forward and they can continue to support me.
- Should I have to withdraw from the event, my donors may be entitled to a refund of their donations. In this instance, I would contribute towards the costs TAAS has incurred in purchasing a place for me.
Fundraising Conduct
- I will fundraise in a way that is safe, respectful, and in line with TAAS’ values.
- I will not bring TAAS into disrepute.
- I will not use TAAS’ name or branding without prior permission.
- I will not collect donations in public or private spaces without the appropriate permissions or licences.
- I will not run raffles, lotteries, or prize draws without understanding and complying with relevant legal requirements.
- I will not sell alcohol or goods using TAAS’ name without prior written agreement.
Email Communications
I understand that I will receive emails from TAAS as part of the operational requirements for this event, including important updates, fundraising support, and logistical information.
If I choose to unsubscribe from these emails, I acknowledge that I may miss essential communications that could affect my ability to participate in the event.
Photography & Media
- I understand that photographs and/or video footage may be taken during the event.
- I give permission for TAAS and the event organiser to use these for promotional purposes unless I notify them otherwise in advance.
Data Protection
- My personal data will be processed in accordance with TAAS’ Privacy Policy and shared only where necessary for event delivery.
Legal
- TAAS may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be available on their website.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
