I'm raising funds as I'm inspired by the work of my local air ambulance.
I'm taking part in the Leicestershire Running Festival this year and raising money for my local Air Ambulance Service.
Every day of the year, Your Local Air Ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire/Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Their critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day.
The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. They are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that they can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
