I'm taking on The Rugby Half Marathon!
The Air Ambulance Service is very dear to the hearts of my family. Back in 2005 my nephew Christian was hit by a car on his way home, and had it not been for the magnificent work of (the then) WNAA would undoubtedly have lost his life. Since then we have supported the Air Ambulance Service at every opportunity we can, and this year I have decided that I will attempt to run the Rugby Half Marathon. I am returning from quite the long term injury this year, but as I have celebrated a milestone birthday, decided that it was time to get the running shoes back on.
The Air Ambulance Sevice is an amazing charity that is funded entirely from outside fundraising and does not receive a penny in Government funding. In 2025 alone the Service completed 3460 missions and accumulated over 600hrs flying time to save peoples lives across our counties. Every single mission costs approx £2,300 all of which comes from public donations only.
It's a fantastic service and it would genuinely mean the world to me if you would support the cause
