Assalamu Alaikum! I’ll be taking on The Big Half this September to raise money for critically ill babies and children. ❤️
Nearly a year ago, I started running occasionally, not even having proper running shoes. In between, I picked up an injury that kept me out for months.
After I came back, I only had one goal in mind: The Big Half. I’d been training for 2 months prior as if I’d already been guaranteed a spot, even though I hadn’t 😂 I was just hoping something would come up. I already had enough FOMO from the London Marathon, so I didn’t want to miss out on this one too.
That’s when I saw an ad for the National Children’s Air Ambulance and really resonated with what they were doing. I eventually ended up getting that spot.
They help fly critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. They’re also 4 times faster than an ambulance, helping save precious time and reducing the risk for little patients.
They don’t receive government funding, so every bit of support can make a huge difference.
