I'm raising vital funds in aid of my local air ambulance
During my year as Lady Captain at Kettering Golf Club, I have selected the Air Ambulance to benefit from any funds raised as their service is only supported by charitable donations. The decision to challenge myself to play 65 holes on one day(in the year I turned 65!), is achievable but not a walkover, as it means playing over 3 rounds of 18 holes during daylight hours. Therefore, I have chosen to do this event on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 when the days are longest.
I will be supported by my husband throughout the day and accompanied by some of my golfing friends at intervals to keep me motivated. Your donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated.
Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire/Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day.
The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.

A great cause, You’ve got this Cathy xx
