Ride Run Walk 2300km for the Air Ambulance

By Olivia Scott

UoLEPC raise money for the air ambulance

The University of Leicester Equestrian and Polo Club are aiming to 'Ride Run Walk 2300km for the Air Ambulance'. This distance was chosen because it costs £2300 each time the helicopter leaves the base. Along side this fundraiser we are aiming to do little fundraisers throughout the year included bake sales, supporting children pony days and more. Any donations would be very well received.

Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire/Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day.

The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
