Channel Swim Relay

Following on from the success of our swim in 2021, we are delighted to be hosting our second channel swim relay for Children’s Air Ambulance in 2023!

Two teams of six will cover the 22 miles between Dover and Calais and take it in turns to swim the channel in rotation. This challenge will test you both physically and mentally and is something that can only be achieved with support, willpower and the right preparation.

We will give you all of the support and resources that we can to enable you to complete this lifetime achievement. A sign up fee of just £200 per person along with a pledge to raise the minimum fundraising target of £1800 will be required by each participant in order to take part.

As part of your sign up we will provide a fundraising pack with hints and tips to help prepare for the challenge, a charity branded swim cap, a complimentary swim training session, arrange your qualifying swim which you must complete in order to swim the channel (this will consist of a 1.5 hour swim, out of the water for 1-1.5 hours max and then return to the water for a further 1 hour in water 16 degrees or less) and your very own Team Mission medal after the completion of your challenge, which we will be honoured to hand over as a thank you for all of your amazing efforts!

We of course advise you to do as much training as you possibly can outside of the session we will provide and there may be certain medical conditions which may affect your ability to participate, so please check this before registering.

We can’t say when the exact date of the swim will be so you must be available and close by at any time of the day between the date range we have given (23rd – 28th August 2023).

The limited team places in this event are available at a first come first serve basis, please indicate in the comment section of the check out page if you wish to be placed in the same team as another individual who is signing up with you.
